In Reply To ok, thanks... I am not aware of any of the new Z1 turbos posted by speedr300z (ATL) on August 30, 2004 at 10:47 PM

Message :failing or any problems as you mentioned, interesting though..
:What happened to the set that you speak of?
I was asked for my opinion on them, before the customer installed them. To the best of my knowledge, your customer got in contact with you regarding these anomolies. I do not know what has happened with them since.

:And it is neither helping or hurting us with this current issue as he had JWT turbos, not ours.

:Why would I thank you for sitting on this knowledge and and never mentioning it on TT.NET??
because I could have made a big deal out of it, but instead I sat on it. Since the question came up regarding turbos, and turbo 'break-in', I thought it was worth it to mention the troubles since it was in line with the discussion. I was curious to know how you guys quality control parts that you have custome manufactured... such as engines, and turbos.

:Is that not what you are doing?
I am now, but I haven't said anything in the past on this issue. Considering your lack of knowledge on turbos (obviously, in regards to break-in), I thought it was prudent to discuss the Z1 brand turbos. If anything, you guys will begin to be more vigilant in your QC process.

:Did you not call us and let us know there was an issue?
I was and am not your customer in regards to the turbos. Yet another reason why I didn't make anything public.

:If so I'm guessing it was taken care of.. If not then why the post here and now??
I'm not aware of what has happened in this regards. It's just a crying shame that someone has to delay their cars build due to a vendor putting out shoddy product.

Does this mean Red Zya is or is not guilty of doing himself in? I don't know. I am still on Z1s side at this time. Actually, I shouldn't be on any side since this entire thread should have never been posted.

In conclusion, I recommend that Z1 take more time to inspect the products that they have costom manufactured and sold under the Z1 name. Perhaps, assuming Z1 is at fault, this engine fiasco could have been avoided.
